It says you gotta be a supporter to view and I am a poorfriend so idk the context of this, so I am just going to assume what the post is saying.... and the confused reaction being called "wtf" makes me look like I am being a dick to you imagine it's like the thinking emoji
dA moderation and the people behind the site were always kind of stupid, and there were always rude people who were assholes for no reason on there (< but there is always people like that online so it isn't a problem with solely dA).. I mean I miss the sense of community there was on there, compared to today's modern social media overtaken landscape. People were more willing to do things like art contests ran by complete nobodies, or gift art for people they've never talked to, friendly stuff like that, and that is what I miss about the old dA, not the moderation or the people behind it or the trolls and cyberbullies, but just that sense of "artist community"
But if the post you linked is about modern dA, then I agree, FUCK modern dA and the barely moderated AI childgrooming hellscape it is today, and if that is the case I will say about my above statement "Disregard that, I suck cocks"

I never had an account on dA myself, so my experience is kind of tainted, but the most memorable dA-story I heard here (even before the AI stuff) was a genuine artist getting reported over there by a bunch of sockpuppet accounts for "stealing" her own art - which the user who created said sockpuppet accounts then could claim as their own. When the same person tried to pull that here, they got the hammer.
Yeah, the moderation on dA was always absolute monkey balls, even when the site was in its heyday. I definitely don't miss *that* aspect of the site at all xD There were probably a lot of other issues there beyond the shitty moderation that I was just too much of a dumbass kid at the time to really notice or understand, but that sense of innocence and community everyone had on there back then was comfy and nice and I miss it

That's what happen when simple website becomes money-hungry corpos. They just want to bring "engagement" into their site, but investors engagement only! After all, the users are only here for the numbers. (And feeding to the all these genAI server from other companies who paid)
I've been on Newgrounds for only 1 month, and I feel like I just discovered the old Internet. Art trades everywhere, collabs, ect... It's fun! Practically no drama, only drawing, animating, developing and composing!!!
All these various challenges and events for all kind of artists, it's simply amazing :)

Ngl I kinda miss the crazy ass drama people would get into on dA way back when.... xD But a lot of peace is better than a lot of drama, so I agree with you there
I want to do collabs and art trades and things like that more, but we're really really shy, and not good with people, so it's scary ... don't know what I'm scared of but it's still scary
